Our purpose is to provide a central reference point that can become the primary resource tool for the serious ACIM student. We hope to directly link up to web pages of other sites that are helpful to the independent student. It is our belief that each student will find his or her own perfect path by going within and asking for guidance from the Holy Spirit. All material and advice needs to be questioned by the seeker. Just because the information comes from an “expert,” it does not mean it is right for you. It is easy to find someone else’s “word lesson” in a book or lecture. Yet, another person’s “word lesson” falls short of the personal “world lessons” that we each need to experiences in order to rediscover the truth about ourselves. This is why we encourage reading source material instead of relying upon some person’s opinion that is many times removed from the source. If possible, always go to the source. If you cannot directly understand the source material by yourself, go to the next closest material that you can understand. As your understanding grows, you may discover that you have “graduated” up the ladder toward the source. Ultimately, all learning must give way to personal revelation. Always be wary of the teacher that claims to know the truth for you and demands that you surrender your inner guidance in favor of the teacher’s truth. The Holy Spirit will not fail you.

Becoming a Practical Modern Day Mystic

Knowledge is experiential, not just a lot of words. Words at best are symbols of ideas. They are a poor substitute for being or knowing. Thinking and being are not the same. No matter what your source, always ask for inner guidance. We challenge you to become a modern day mystic. All mystical traditions advise the student to go within and discover their own personal pathway home. Ask and go within to find your perfect path. Revelation is a personal matter between you and God. Do not settle for less.
ACIM states that the world as we perceive it is but an illusion. Yet, since we all have decided to experience the world of perception, time and space, it behooves us to maximize our learning experiences while playing in this medium for the illusion of separation. When we give our thoughts over to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, this playschool can be an effective tool for the relearning of the truth. It is our intent to provide additional material that will allow the individual the ability to be in this world but not of this world. We want ACIM to be a practical guide to living, rather than an intellectual exercise in the esoteric. Often one hears the comment that he or she is so “spiritual” that they are no good for anyone, including themselves. Again, our goal is that we become practical mystics. Each day we may still chop wood and gather water, but we will do it with a different purpose, a different spiritual paradigm.
Your current path is contingent on where you perceive yourself to be. It may first be necessary to move from victim consciousness to become a deliberate creator. Next, we may move from a deliberate creator to allowance and then ultimately to the surrender into the One Self. We always remain an extension of the Mind of God. It matters not the particular path we take for the outcome of our return to knowledge is guaranteed. We remain free to experience whatever we choose yet, always remain perfect, whole and complete. In the world of perception, we have been given all the time we need to “get it right.” We can take time to stop and smell the roses. We can always choose again. Eventually, we will discover that the return the to truth is our only real choice. In time, our purpose is forgiveness, our function is love and our destiny is the peace of God. Our Creator guarantees our successful return home.
